Abstract
We describe the findings of 64 channel Computed tomography (CT) of pathologically confirmed Xanthograulomatous cholecystitis mimicking gallbladder cancer with invasion of the common bile duct. A 74-year-old man visited the hospital because of fatigue. CT image demonstrated the inhomogeneously enhancing, irregular and asymmetric GB wall thickening that had pericholecystic fat stranding and infiltrated to the thickened wall of hepatic flexure, but not invaded the liver parenchyme. It also showed irregular wall thickening of exrahepatic bile duct adjacent to the thickened GB wall. Intra and extra hepatic bile ducts were diffusely dilated with abrupt luminal narrowing of the common bile duct. Multiple lymph nodes enlargements were in the porta hepatis.
